Project Description
Do I know U? is an Indo-German theatre partnership between Ranga Shankara in Bangalore and Schnawwl am Nationaltheater Mannheim. In workshops, guest performances, exchange of artistic staff, think tanks and a coproduction, the staff of the two theatres meet over a period of two years to enrich each others theatre practice with skills, to deepen dialogue on theatre for young audiences in a multicultural environment and to introduce new aesthetics to artists and audiences alike.
In 2010, each theatre will produce a play with artistic inputs from the other theatre and the theme of intercultural dialogue. In 2011 a coproduction with an Indo-German team, mixed an all levels of production will reahearse and perform a play in Mannheim and Bangalore.
